Hey Pinterest, I like you.

I love Pinterest. I really do. If you don’t have an account yet, go sign up right now. I promise you won’t regret it.

Aside from it being the one website where I can go to scroll endlessly through images of delicious food, I find Pinterest extremely innovative. Some people use Pinterest similarly to how Tumblr is used by teenage and young-adult audiences, which is to re-post and share beautiful photography, funny images and inspirational words. The middle-aged audience of Pinterest posts their DIY craft how-tos, favorite crock pot recipes, organizational tips and so on.

The versatility of the site draws a wide range of people in, which is what makes it so relevant in the social media world. Recently I’ve spotted accounts run by various corporations, magazines and even universities (oh look, my school!). An organization’s interaction with its audiences online has now become even more multimedia-focused.

While Pinterest might not seem to hold much potential for your business, it is definitely worth keeping an eye on. Get creative and have some fun with it! If all else fails, at least you found some delicious recipes for dessert, right?
